For the last decade, Blaine has been working at the intersection of business, innovation, and creativity. As Founder and CEO of award-winning, independent creative company, Dot Dot Dash, she is responsible for producing content for tomorrow’s best brands including Patagonia, NASA, Greenpeace, Canada Post and Oceana. She was part of the team that launched text messaging at Rogers and helped to found and lead Canada’s first social media agency, Radar DDB. So, in late 2017, as adult-use recreational cannabis was nearing legalization, Blaine helped to co-found Business of Cannabis a media platform focused on building the global cannabis sector through news and customized experiential events. At Business of Cannabis she is responsible for strategic development of all programming. She is also a founding member of the Global Cannabis Partnership, working to ensure a International standard for Corporate Social Responsibility in the cannabis sector. Blaine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queens University.

Jay has a 20-year career at the intersection of media, business, policy and politics.
Jay comes to Business of Cannabis from a career spanning Washington, D.C., Silicon Valley and Canada. With a background in government, he launched several successful consultancies and start-ups before launching Business of Cannabis. He has extensive experience in moving projects from ideas to launch bridging industries as varied as publishing and health tech.
